Oogie Boogie Bash

We finally got the chance to go to Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland! I have always wondered what takes place in the parks when all the pass holders get kicked out for this exclusive event! In case you want to see a sneak peak yourself, here is the link to my vlog which shows our entire evening there!

The kids have these adorable Halloween Minnie & Mickey Plushies that we bring out of storage every halloween. When we were trying to decide on costumes to wear to Oogie Boogie bash I thought it would be so fun to dress them up as Halloween Minnie and Mickey! I found some of the cutest outfits on Amazon and you can find their outfits here!

For my outfit I wanted to go with something Halloween themed but also something I would feel comfortable chasing the kids around in all afternoon! I found these super cute Oogie Boogie x Jack Skeleton ears and thought they would be so cute with a black dress! Then I found this cute little ghost purse and I was so excited to wear them together! I ordered these sparkly runners because they were the perfect combination of something cute + comfy!

Next I needed an outfit for my husband so I started searching for halloween shirts. I found this skeleton one and thought it would coordinate with my outfit perfectly. Then I found the matching Mickey ears and I knew it would be perfect! You can find our outfits here.

I’m so happy with how all of our outfits turned out! The best part about them was how practical they were. I saw so many families wearing extravagant outfits that were honestly SO cute and so well made but I can’t imagine wearing them all around the park!! You can shop all of our outfits here!

We had so much fun Trick or Treating, seeing all of the villains and watching the parade! One of the best parts of the night was that the lines were really short on rides so we were able to go on some rides we haven’t ever had the time to wait in line for! My son got to go on the Cars ride for the first time and he couldn’t get over how excited he was that Mater and Lightning talked to him- it was adorable!

Close to closing cars land had pretty much emptied out and we were able to get a few pictures in radiator springs! We closed out the night as the kids fell asleep in the stroller and overall had such a great time! I think if you don’t have an annual pass, these Oogie Boogie tickets are such a great way to experience Disney during a festive time without huge crowds or long wait times.

However if you’re an annual pass holder like we are- I’m not sure I would say it is worth the extra ticket price. You’ll have a great time of course but in terms of what is being offered that isn’t already a part of a normal disney experience… There weren’t near as many exclusive offerings as I expected! The trick or treating was fun but we didn’t really need to come home with bags full of candy. The villains were kind of cool but I was a little disappointed with the ones they had out. We also have seen a lot of villains walking around Disneyland during the day- so you don’t have to go to Oogie Boogie to see them. Of course we had a blast regardless but in the future we may just chose to pick an evening when we can use our annual passes and experience Disneyland + CA Adventure with all the fun decor!

Happy Spooky Season Friends! Thanks for reading my blog and following along with our family! It’s so fun to share our experiences with you and I can’t wait to share what else we will be up to this season!
